Replacement of an Undesired Ingredient in a Liquid Formulation

The Problem

Cosmetic formulators often face the problem to replace certain ingredients for alternatives that display enhanced performance and a more benign (eco)-toxicological profile. The new ingredient had to satisfy several specifications in order to guarantee the efficacy of the formula, including solubility, spreadability, colour, and odor constraints, as well as several sustainability parameters.
